Wow, time for a super-sized blog post for Megan and Brandon’s absolutely elegant wedding in Wausau, Wisconsin! What a treat for us to travel back near my hometown for such a fabulous affair. Megan and her mother, Ann, put so much thought into this day for Megan and Brandon, and it really paid off! On Friday, the forecast was looking grim for pulling off their outdoor ceremony, but the weather surprised us quite pleasantly with warmth and sunny skies. The reception offered guests dinner custom-prepared right before their eyes by the executive chefs from City Grill including shiskabob, stir-fry, a mashed potato bar served in martini glasses and ready for guests to add their own toppings. Several lighted ice sculptures adorned the room including an ice-luge to serve their signature drink: a “Blue Cassidy”, named after Brandon’s nickname. Enjoy the highlights from their wedding day!
