Welp, we are back from our trip through the Southwest and West, and ready to hit up the blog again with some weddings and sneak peeks. We’ll start with a proper sneak peek of Lindsey and Mark’s home-grown Illinois barn wedding! Serious hats off to their families for transforming this rough space into an elegant place for a farm wedding. (Sidenote: the transformation of this space was a one-time event, and the barn is NOT available for rent.) Enjoy the peek!!

Fantastic photos! I especially like the starry night photo of the bridge & groom, and the barn photo with the flag! Just super. Is the bride’s bouquet made of drawer knobs? Very, very, nice.
Yup! Her bouquet is made from drawer knobs– super cool, but a lot heavier than it looks!
Did they get married in a family barn? Or, do you know if there are any barns for rent for wedding reception? I’m originally from a small town but moved to Bloomington for school and love the idea of a reception in a barn and love what this couple did! Tunred out fantastic! So cute.
This was a family barn. Many of the barns in the area you would need to get in touch with the owners about. There is one public barn that I know of that would be fantastic for an intimate ceremony– it’s at the Sugar Grove Nature Center near Funk’s Grove. Here is a picture of the barn there I found on their Facebook page: the Corn Crib Hope that helps! Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need a photographer too!
can I get married at your family barn?? haha I have been searching all around the surrounding county’s and can’t find a single big clean barn to have a wedding reception. I am from Mahomet Illinois which is near Champaign. Any other ideas? Or families that would offer a barn? Thanks so much!
Hi – my fiancée and I are from Galesburg and are desperately searching for a barn to hold our reception this fall. The places around us are all booked. Could you possibly put us in touch with this couple to see if we could use their barn for our event?
Thanks so much!
The transformation of this space was a one-time event. It is private property, and the barn is NOT available for rent.
